Evelina was startled by a sudden noise behind her, causing her to freeze. She turned around stiffly to find Lemira standing in the doorway.
Lemira entered slowly, her gaze icy as she looked at Evelina. “So, you really want me out of the picture, don’t you?”
“Lemmy, why are you here? You must have misheard; I wasn’t talking about you.”
Evelina was terrified, beads of cold sweat forming on her forehead. Wasn’t this troublemaker supposed to be knocked out after drinking that drugged milk? How did she end up here?
With a smirk, Lemira stepped forward and knocked Evelina out cold.
Lemira was eager to see what Evelina had so carefully orchestrated for her.
Effortlessly, Lemira dragged Evelina back to her own bedroom but then reconsidered, placing her on Evelina’s bed instead and deliberately turning off the lights.
Lemira hid in the bathroom, excited to see what would happen next.
Time ticked by slowly until the bedroom door quietly creaked open, and a shadowy figure slipped inside.
It was Zack, reeking of alcohol and clutching a half–empty whiskey bottle.
He tiptoed to the bed and, seeing a girl fast asleep, began to undress her, placing himself over her, kissing and groping her.
Zack muttered obscenities, his words slurred, “You little witch, thought you could insult and kick me out, huh? Well, here I am, having my way with you. So what if you’re a rich girl? You’re still just trash.”
Lemira listened to the vulgar words spewing from Zack’s mouth, a cold sneer on her lips.
So, this was the grand scheme Evelina had devised. She really went all out.
But this little drama deserved Evelina as the star of the show.

Lucian rushed in, flipping on the lights, and was greeted with the sight of a man and a woman tangled on the bed. His anger flared instantly. “Zack, what the hell are you doing?”
Zack, bleary–eyed and startled, shrank back at the sight of Lucian. But buoyed by liquid courage, he blurted out, “Ms. Lemira told me I was leaving tomorrow. She asked me to come over, said she wanted to talk.”
“You bastard! My sister isn’t someone you can lay a finger on. I’ll kill you!”
Lucian was seeing red, ready to tear Zack apart for daring to lay hands on Lemira.
Zack, pinned down and getting pummeled, slurred, “It was Ms. Lemira who seduced me.”
Lucian’s fist connected with Zack’s face in a rage–fueled punch, leaving him bloodied.
Soon, Asher and Caspian arrived, drawn by the commotion.
They quickly noticed the peculiar scent in the room, and their expressions darkened.
Furious, Caspian hauled Zack up by his collar, demanding, “Who the hell gave you permission to touch her?”
Bloodied and smirking defiantly, Zack passed out cold.
Caspian dumped Zack on the floor, delivering several vicious kicks, wishing he could do more.

Asher, taking in the chaotic scene, immediately instructed Alaric to close the door, ensuring no servants witnessed the spectacle and spread rumors.
Lucian’s eyes were burning red. “Asher, I told you this butler was trouble. You insisted on bringing him to Orvin, and now look what happened. Are you happy?”
Faced with the accusation, Asher couldn’t muster a single defense.
Caspian tried to calm Lucian down. “Lucian, take it easy.”
“How the hell am I supposed to calm down? Something like this happens to my sister, and you expect me to stay calm?
Lucian was trembling with rage, barely able to stand. “Call the police, right now!”
“No, we can’t call the police,” Asher interjected firmly. “If we involve them, this will become town gossip in Orvin, and where will that leave the Langston family’s reputation?”
