Caspian could only feel the searing pain across his face.
He never imagined he’d actually damage his face. How was he supposed to make it in Hollywood if he couldn’t recover? He had plans to gun for the Oscar this year, but now, with his face ruined, how was he supposed to clinch any award?
Asher walked over and pinned Caspian to the bed, “Calm down, man. You’re still healing, hooked up to an IV and all.”
“Asher, it’s Lemira’s fault. She orchestrated this whole mess. If it wasn’t for her trap, I wouldn’t be in this state!”
Caspian was in a frenzy, beyond reasoning.
Seeing the wound on Caspian’s face, Asher hesitated before speaking, “Don’t worry, Caspian. Rowan’s been in medical research for years. Fixing your face shouldn’t be a problem.”
Caspian suddenly quieted down a bit, glancing around, “Where’s Lemira then? Too scared to face what she’s done to me?”
Lucian stepped forward, “Caspian, it was you who laid hands on Lemmy. How can you say she did this to you?”
“Lucian, of course, you’d take Lemira’s side.”
Caspian would never admit to being the aggressor. That would ruin his career for good.
He noticed the cops were around, clearly putting on a show for them.
Sure enough, a cop approached, “Mr. Caspian, why did you assault your own sister? She’s injured too.”
“We were just rehearsing. I was teaching her acting, but I didn’t expect her to live–stream, slander me, and then call the cops.”
Caspian’s tone was full of sorrow, the picture of a man betrayed by his kin.
Evelina chimed in, “Yeah, Lemira struggled with her acting, held us up for hours yesterday. So Caspian was just giving her some extra coaching today. I never imagined she’d do something like this.”
Lucian glared at Evelina, “Lemmy wouldn’t do that.”
Caspian’s voice was hoarse, “About my sister holding up the shooting schedule because of her poor acting, you can ask anyone in the crew. They all know I’m not lying.”
“Mr. Caspian, if you were just rehearsing, then why did Lemira actually get hurt?”
“My sister wanted the scene to feel real, but I didn’t hit her hard. If she’s seriously hurt now, it wasn’t by my
hand.”
Caspian looked frail, “I never thought, my own sister, whom I treated sincerely, would plot against me like this. I too want to know why.”
Asher was furious, “What other reason could there be? You tried to persuade Lemira to drop the charges, but she refused. That’s why she’s scheming against you, to keep you away from her.”
Evelina tried to smooth things over, “Asher, maybe talk to Lemmy later. It’s not right for her to slander Caspian like this.”
Lucian scoffed, his disappointment palpable.
He had thought their sibling bond was strong, but after Lemira left the Langston family, their true colors showed.
“Lucian, what’s with that look?”
“Asher, you’ll regret this. One day, you’ll regret it even more than I do.”

After saying that, Lucian left the hospital room. He wouldn’t let Caspian hurt Lemira again and needed to warn her in advance.
At the Everhart Private Hospital.
Lemira rested against her bed, the news of her brother’s domestic abuse live–streamed causing a stir. However, Caspian’s agency released a statement saying they were just rehearsing a scene.
She intended to record a video for practice but accidentally started a live stream, sparking this huge misunderstanding.
Now, the narrative was leaning towards it being just a rehearsal gone wrong.
Lemira didn’t respond. Anything she said now would only draw more attacks from Caspian’s fans.
She decided to wait for the police investigation’s results before making any statements.
“Ms. Langston, you’re awake? Would you mind if we talk?” Lemira saw the representatives from TG Group again, her expression cold, “I’ve said before, I won’t agree to any terms with you.”
“Ms. Langston, you’ve got it all wrong. We’re here as your PR team now.”
