Lemira knew the cloth was laced with chloroform, but she eventually passed out anyway.
Watching Lemira slump into unconsciousness, Caspian finally let go of her and took the napkin offered by his bodyguard.
The driver tentatively suggested, “Sir, maybe we should tie her hands, just to be safe.”
After all, Ms. Lemira seemed pretty skilled.
Caspian’s hand flew in a swift backhand slap, “Tie whose hands? She is my sister, Ms. Langston, got it?”
The driver quickly zipped his lips in fear.
Caspian closed the car door: “To the hospital.”
He touched his swollen face.
Buch, the girl has been practicing, and she knows how to fight back now.
They arrived at the hospital.
Caspian carried Lemira into a high–end private room, cheerfully announcing, “Lucian, guess who I brought?”
“Lemmy? Why did she pass out?”
Lucian was overjoyed to see Lemira but noticed she hadn’t woken up.
“Caspian, what happened to Lemmy?”
Caspian touched his swelling cheek, “It wasn’t easy bringing her here. We were talking, and suddenly, she lashed out and knocked me out cold. Lucian, she’s gotten pretty tough, and harder to handle.”
Caspian was pleased, but not happy that Lemira had turned tough and seemed to be turning against the family.
“Caspian, that’s too much. You can’t treat Lemmy like that; what you used could harm her.”
“Don’t worry, Lucian, I know what I’m doing.”
Soon a doctor came to apply medication to his wounds and ice to reduce the swelling.
Lucian sighed, “Caspian, Lemmy’s grown up, we can’t treat her like we used to.”
“But look at her, storming off after exams, going off to Orvin University alone, and then getting involved with the Sinclairs, which ended up with Alaric in detention. If you’d been stricter and kept her close, none of this would’ve happened.”
“This time is different; we were in the wrong.”
Lucian had realized they couldn’t blame Lemira for everything.
Caspian glanced at Lemira, “I was kept away from her due to a forced isolation, and then there was the trouble with the film crew. If I’d been there, Lemira wouldn’t have ended up like this.”
He had always been the one teaching Lemira how to be.
Lucian took off Lemira’s shoes and tucked her in.
He lowered his voice, “Caspian, I’ll handle Lemira’s situation, but you must promise not to resort to your ways!”
“Got it,” Caspian replied, somewhat impatiently.
spian’s agent approached, “Caspian, you’ve got an appearance tonight. How did you injure your face?”
“It’s nothing.”

Caspian remained unfazed, not taking the incident to heart.
He stood up, glancing at Lemira on the bed, “Lucian, talk to her. I’ll come back after I’m done?
“You better not treat Lemmy like this in the future”
“You can’t tell me you’re not happy to see her here?”
Lucian was exasperated; it wasn’t the same.
He wanted Lemira to visit him at the hospital, but not like this.
No sooner had Caspian left than Lemira’s phone rang,
Lucian glanced at the caller ID – Orion.
Without hesitation, he hung up and set the phone to silent.
In his heart, Lemira was always family.
After finishing, he turned to see Lemira looking at him.
Lucian felt guilty, “Lemmy, you’re awake?”
Lemira, expressionless, slid off the bed.
Lucian hurriedly offered her slippers, “Lemmy, put on your shoes, the floor is dirty.”
