When Lemira heard Hogan’s words, a flicker of doubt crossed her eyes.

Lucian cut off Hogan from saying more, turning to Lemira: “I’m not here to plead for leniency. They made mistakes, they should be punished.”
Not here to plead?
Lucian took a document from Hogan: “This artificial intelligence project has a lot of potentials. I know you’ve been a key tech figure at Maple Group, but why not strike out on your own?”
“What do you mean?”
“This is my company, and now I’m giving you all my shares. Then you can develop the Al project independently, and when it goes public, all the success will be solely yours.”
Lemira looked at the share transfer agreement.
She hadn’t expected him to hand over the company to her!
Was Lucian regretting his actions after seeing Evelina’s true colors in the surveillance video incident, seeking to make amends?
Lemira glanced at the document but didn’t take it.
“No need, keep it for yourself.”

Lucian stuffed the document into her hands: “I’ve already signed it.”

The papers scattered all over the floor.
Lucian, looking gaunt, said: “Lemmy, I haven’t been a good brother, but I’ll learn how to be one.”
“Whoever you want to be a good brother to, it has nothing to do with me!”
“How can I make it up to you then? I want to treat you better!”
“Then stay away from me.”
Without looking back, Lemira walked away.
Lucian stood still, watching her silhouette disappear into the dormitory building.
He bent down to pick up the scattered documents, his hands trembling.
Eventually, Lucian crouched on the ground, unable to get up for a long time.
Hogan, standing aside, turned his head away with a pained expression: If only he knew, why start at all?
He’d warned the boss early on that Evelina was no good.
Sadly, the boss hadn’t listened!
