“Tell the organizers that the Langston Group didn’t steal your idea, that we’re all family here, and it was just a little joke.”
Lemira laughed: “Such an absurd request could only come from the Langstons.”
“Lemira, I didn’t mean anything by it.”
Janice couldn’t stand it anymore: “Sir, have you considered the consequences for Lemira if she told the organizers that? Would her colleagues continue to trust her?
You’re just trying to clear your name but leaving Lemira to face the consequences alone. How’s that fair?”
Janice was furious.
During the team selection, it’s clear how biased the Langstons were, but this was outrageous!
Alaric, left speechless, looked at Lemira: “I know this is a tough request.”

Alaric stood there, a bittersweet smile on his face.
He thought Lemira, despite being angry, wouldn’t go to such lengths. Was she really suing him?
