The apartment was a modest two–bedroom with no spare rooms to speak of
“His room is basically a disaster zone, I’d advise against even thinking about it.”
Lemira immediately dropped the idea, “Actually, I’m fine with the couch. It doesn’t take up much space”
“I ask you to sleep there, just do it. I’ve got some work tonight anyway, might not hit the sack.”
Orion seemed a bit uneasy, but he masked it well.
Finally, Lemira went next door to grab some clear clothes, with Orion waiting at the door.
When Lemira emerged with her clothes, seeing Orion standing there instantly filled her with a sense of security. She entered his master bedroom, which was simple and clean. Orion came in with a fresh blanket, “Use this one.”

Lemira stood there, noticing his bedroom was sparsely furnished. She gazed around the place and found Orion actually was neat, debunking the rumors of him being just another messy guy.
After showering and getting changed, lying in bed, she caught the scent of the blanket.
Her feeling was subtle, hard to describe. Breathing in, she could smell something reminiscent of Orion’s own scent.
It felt as if he was right there, holding her, causing Lemira’s cheeks to warm considerably. She poked her head out, taking deep breaths, trying to clear her mind of such thoughts.
Lemira thought she’d struggle to sleep, yet she drifted off quickly, perhaps feeling unusually safe.
Outside, Orion headed to his study.
He booted up his computer, switching systems with a voice cold and stern, “Haven’t found that creep yet?”
“We did. Damn it, he’s living right in our building!”
Thaddeus‘ voice came through, “This freak’s been stealing people’s laundry and even has a telescope on his balcony!”
Orion’s face was livid, “Which floor?”
“Sending you the location now. Give that jerk a piece of my mind too!”
Orion shut down his computer and after sending a message, went back to the bedroom. He lingered for a moment, and then left the apartment.
Outside, a line of men in black, all wearing white gloves, baseball caps, and masks stood in silence.
Orion, blending into the darkness, led them up the elevator, his well–defined face expressionless. One of his men used a magnetic card to unlock a door, which directly opened.
Walking inside, Orion heard obscene noises from the study and after entering the room, found a middle–aged man watching porn. The man, caught at the climax, panicked at the sight of the intruders, “W–Who are you?”
Orion turned, signaling with a lift of his hand. His men behind entered the study, closing the door behind them.
Orion stood on the balcony, gazing at the night sky, a coldness touching his lips.
Eventually, the study door opened.
Orion then stepped inside, finding the middle–aged man bruised and kneeling, begging, “Look, man, did I offend you somehow? If it’s money you want, you can have everything in my safe.”
Orion, towering over him, his gaze icy cold. The chill spread over the man’s back, silencing him.
Orion, donning his gloves, patted the man’s cheek, “What was that about me keeping a sugar baby? Short memory?”
Lemira’s unfinished words, he had figured it out.
