A journalist directly asked Alaric, “Mr. Alaric, do you have anything to say about this? Why isn’t Ms. Langston part of the team?”
“Is it true that there’s been a falling out between you and Ms. Langston?”

Evelina, clinging to Alaric’s arm, said with a smile, “Well, if that’s the case, Lemira’s just been a bit stubborn lately. After all, we’re family. She’s grown so strong thanks to the upbringing she received from her family. I trust that Lemmy wouldn’t be ungrateful.”
Jessica couldn’t stand it, “Evelina, do you even listen to yourself ramble?”
The truth was far from what Evelina was spinning.
Evelina was deliberately misleading the journalists.
Lemira gently held Jessica’s hand, replying calmly, “But, it was Alaric who kicked me off the team himself, after he found a top–notch gunner to take my place.”

As the journalist spoke, their gaze shifted to Lemira.

Evelina, not wanting to stay outside any longer, handed over an invite and said to Lemira, “Sorry, but the person with the invitation can only bring one guest to the event.”

He could have gotten her an invite but had no idea Lemira would be interested.
Lemira remained calm, “No need.”
“Alaric, how could you be so careless? Are we really short two invites?”
Lucian appeared, suave as ever.
The journalists immediately turned to him, “Mr. Lucian, are you here for SweetLemon, the streamer?”
“There’s talk of a special connection between you two. Can you shed some light on that?”
Lucian smiled, “My relationship with the streamer is indeed special. I came here today for her.”
The journalists were all ears, sensing a juicy story.
Lucian looked at Lemira, “Lemmy, let me take you inside.”
He reached out his hand to her.
Lemira glanced at it, “No need. I can get in on my own.”
Evelina couldn’t help but ask, “Lemira, do you have an invite?”
“Of course.”
Calmly, Lemira pulled out an invite from her bag and placed it on the table.
Jessica looked triumphantly at Evelina, “See? This is an invite! Our Lemira is legitimately invited! Unlike some leeches!”
Evelina was irked, “Lemira, I thought you said you wouldn’t rely on the Langston family?”
If not for the Langston family, how could Lemira possibly have gotten an invite!
Alaric, staring at the invite, said in disbelief, “Lemira, how did you get this?”
“Because she is SweetLemon!”
