I applied for a visitation to see Easton.
When I saw Easton being escorted out with handcuffs, I felt a strange, indescribable. emotion deep inside.
is eyes, when they landed on me, were filled with intense hatred.
“Amina, it’s you, isn’t it? You set me up, didn’t you? You want to ruin me,” he spat out.
I stared at him coldly.
“Wasn’t it you who ruined me?”
Easton froze for a moment, his gaze faltering.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. When did you and Kaylee get together on this?”
“Don’t know? Easton, how did I not realize you were such a hypocritical beast before? I thought you were a victim in this sin, but it turns out you were the perpetrator. All these years, you’ve used my guilt to suppress me, gaining a sense of achievement. How despicable can you be?” I said coldly.
When he heard this, Easton panicked.
“Amina, listen to me. I loved you so much that I used this method to keep you by my side. Anyway, the only man who’s ever had you is me, and that’s enough. Just ignore those rumors; pretend they never existed.”
I couldn’t help but laugh at his words.
He actually had the nerve to say that I should pretend everything that happened before
didn’t exist.
The sharp pain when the blade cut my wrist, the burning sensation when I overdosed on sleeping pills and had to be rushed to the hospital for gastric lavage, the humiliation of being constantly degraded, the inferiority of not daring to speak to anyone–those were all very real and surrounded me for five long years.
The Last Time I Loved Him
“So, What do you want now? The damage is done, and you’ve already married me. These are facts,” Easton yelled impatiently, tearing off his mask.
I wasn’t angered, just chuckled lightly.
“Kaylee is preparing to appeal. She’s pretty smart, you know, she went to the hospital immediately and kept the evidence.”
Easton was stunned for a moment, his eyes blank for a few seconds before he looked at me
ith a bit of smugness.
“I have my mom. My mom will find a way to save me. Kaylee’s the type of woman who only wants money. You and I are still married, and if I get arrested, it won’t do you any good.
You’re just angry for the moment.”
I raised an eyebrow.
“Oh, I forgot to tell you. Your mom was arrested yesterday and is being detained. I’m not sure if her old bones can handle the conditions in the detention center!”
Hearing this, Easton immediately slammed his fist on the table, gritting his teeth as he glared at me.
“Amina, what have you done?”
I shrugged nonchalantly.
“Your mom went to spread rumors about me downstairs at my company, damaging my reputation. I’ve already sued her. So, she probably won’t be able to help you out.”
“By the way, your dad might not have time to save you and your mom either. His mistress is pregnant and about to give birth to your little brother. He’s too busy to deal with you two
now.”
