Chapter 26
On the last day, he wanted to bid her a proper farewell.
The farewell took place at the lakeside of Central Park in Summervale.
It was winter now, and there were few pedestrians by the lake, only a few swans begging for food by
the lake.
Sylvia threw the bread in her hand to the swan, and the swan happily called out a few times.
And Sergio, who was standing not far away, looked satisfied.
If he could see such a scene every day, how wonderful it would be.
Unfortunately, these could only be wishes.
As time passed by second by second, it meant that he would soon be leaving.
Finally, let him be reckless once again.
He walked slowly towards her and pulled her into his arms.
Sylvía, whose nostrils were filled with a faint scent of ancient dragon perfume, immediately
reacted by struggling.
But his strength was much greater than hers, and he was a whole head taller than her, so she
couldn’t break free at all.
The constraints made her feel uncomfortable, and she didn’t want to be entangled with him anymore. She just wanted to get away as soon as possible.
Just at this very moment when she was extremely anxious, a pair of strong hands suddenly appeared on her shoulders and pulled her out of the arms of the stranger.
She turned her head in surprise and met Quentin’s gentle gaze.
The man’s long–lost possessiveness emerged, forcefully keeping her behind him.
“Mr. Velazquez, please behave yourself.”
He was usually gentle, rarely showing such a dominant side.
Looking at the appearance of the man in front of her, Sylvia was so overjoyed that she was about to
cry.
“Quentin, you remembered everything, didn’t you?”

Quentin slowly turned around and, like declaring his sovereignty, pulled her into his embrace.
“Yes, I remembered everything.”
Sylvia felt that this was the most wonderful language she had ever heard in her life, and there was nothing that could make her happier than this moment.
She tightly held onto his waist, letting tears pour down.
And behind the embrace of the two, there was Sergio’s lonely figure.
Hasn’t his wish already been fulfilled? What he hoped to see was Sylvia being happy.
Even if that person who brought her happiness was not herself.
So,
what was there for him to be sad about?
He didn’t tell her the truth. His mission was never just about making her forgive him, but it doesn’t
matter anymore.
Now, he knew that she was living a happy life in another world, and he was content.
Realizing that Sergio was still standing behind her, Sylvia finally reacted and wriggled out of Quentin’s embrace to bid him farewell.
“You are about to go back, and in the days to come, I sincerely wish you happiness.”
He faintly raised his lips, his eyes filled with deep affection.
“I also sincerely wish you happiness.”
As the words fell, a mechanical sound echoed in my ears.
“Hello, Host. Your mission to conquer has failed. You will immediately depart from this world and
lose all your possessions.”
Soon, his vision became blurry, and then he lost consciousness.
Sylvia and Quentin, who watched him disappear by the lake, embraced each other affectionately.
“Great, you remembered everything! Do you know how scared I was?”
Quentin smiled and ruffled her hair.
“Do you know that I was scared? Sergio was a very formidable competitor.”
Sylvia laughed out loud.
“Originally, you were also afraid, I was just afraid that you wouldn’t be afraid.”

“Okay, let’s go home,”
