Chapter 150
Angela’s voice was calm, but her words carried such weight that they stunned everyone
present.
The onlookers around them immediately began whispering and exchanging astonished glances.
Could someone actually be standing up for them and fighting for their benefits? Could this person possibly be an angel?
“You’re talking nonsense. There’s no such thing as compensation or overtime pay. I think you’re just trying to stir up trouble.” Nora shot Angela a cold glare. “Don’t get too full of yourself. Don’t think this is your territory.”
Bill quietly observed the exchange between the two women, not intervening. He looked troubled, as if he were deep in thought.
“Ah,” Angela seemed to laugh in frustration.
She looked at Nora with disbelief. “I didn’t expect someone as lowly as you, a mere department head, to have taken over the duties of the HR and finance departments as well. Ms. Rutherford, you really are something.”
“Angela, stop slandering me,” Nora snapped, her anger evident in her eyes as she glared at Angela.
“Whether I’m slandering you or not, everyone can see for themselves. Nora, people are not stupid. With all these witnesses, they just don’t want to call you out.
“Do you think you can control everything here?” Angela paused for a moment, then turned to Bill. “Mr. Bill, you should reform the company’s divisions of responsibility. Why are people like Ms. Rutherford meddling in other departments?
“It’s hard not to suspect that Graham Group is a mess inside. A company like this doesn’t deserve to be a partner to our DawnStar.”
With that, she picked up her box and turned to leave.
Bill panicked and quickly grabbed her arm. “Angela, how can you make things so difficult for me? This is our family’s company. You should stop now.”
Angela rolled her eyes internally. How shameless could he be, speaking such disgraceful‘ words?
“Sorry, no,” she replied firmly.
Her tone didn’t waver. “Mr. Bill, is this really how you manage your company? I honestly can’t recommend Graham Group.”
“Angela, you’re just using this for personal gain!” Nora was furious, her voice rising

uncontrollably.
Angela didn’t respond. She just looked at Nora with an arrogant smirk.
“Alright, starting tomorrow, you’ll be the deputy head of the design department. Supervise Nora. If she does anything unreasonable, just point it out.” Bill waved his hand impatiently but ultimately compromised.
Angela was in a rather good mood today.
She drove herself home, passing by an Eastern restaurant. She picked up two dishes and a soup to take away for herself.
She had planned to go home, shower, change into something comfortable, and watch a movie. She would enjoy her Friday evening.
However, to her surprise, Dexter was already there.
“You bought food?” He smelled the aroma and emerged from the study beside the living room.
He was starting to treat her place like his own, even leaving a few sets of loungewear here and changing into them daily..
“Are you feeling better? Eating out isn’t healthy,” he said, clearing his throat before walking
over.
Angela didn’t respond to him.
Feeling awkward, Dexter touched his nose and asked again, “How has it been at Graham Group over the past few days?”
Angela didn’t answer immediately.
“Do you need something?” She looked up at him.
“Grandma Natalie wants you to come for dinner tomorrow evening,” Dexter said, his tone a little stiff. “She said Trevor will be there too.”
