Chapter 146
Nora was caught off guard. She collapsed to the floor, her head slamming into the ground, and blood began oozing out.
Zion was beyond furious. He was enraged not only at her betrayal but also at himself for failing to see her true nature sooner.
Angela had told him to bring Nora out, saying they were going to watch a good show. At first, he dismissed it as one of Angela’s schemes, but he never imagined it…
“Stephen, Stephen, listen to me, I swear, I was just using him. From the beginning, the only person I’ve ever loved is you!” Nora, no longer concerned with defending herself, hurried after Stephen as he turned to leave.
“We have nothing to do with each other anymore,” Stephen said coldly, his gaze full of disgust as he looked down at her.
He left the private room, his heart heavy with disgust, and saw Angela and Dexter standing nearby.
“Are you satisfied after watching me make a fool of myself?” Stephen shot a cold glance at Angela, preparing to walk away.
“Mr. Turner, how could you be so heartless? If it weren’t for me, would you have realized the truth about certain people so quickly?” Angela said with a faint smile.
She had heard everything that had just transpired inside, and most of her anger had dissipated. Nora had always relied on Stephen’s influence to act arrogantly; without his support, she would never have dared to behave like that.
Now that Angela had cut off her wings, it would be impossible for Nora to stand unchallenged.
“When did you find out?” Stephen asked coldly.
She had known this all along.
“I only found out recently, which is why I informed you. Mr. Turner, from now on, let’s keep our distance. Don’t go against me.”
This was one of her goals.
Stephen sneered. “Who’s trying to go against you?”
With that, he turned and left without another word.
Angela smiled in satisfaction as she watched him go.
A moment later, Nora stormed out of the room.
She had nearly been strangled by Zion. Moreover, she’d lost her shoe, and her clothes were disheveled, making her look utterly pathetic.

Chapter 146
The moment she spotted Angela, everything clicked.
“Well, well, so it’s you, you filthy bitch. Why do you keep getting in my way? I’ll kill you!”
Nora screamed as she charged at Angela with her hands outstretched to strangle her. But before she could get close, Dexter blocked her, sending her crashing to the ground.
“Ms. Rutherford, get this straight–who’s getting in whose way?” Angela sneered, looking down at Nora as if she were a clown.
“Let’s go,” Dexter said
The Bamford family soon issued a public clarification under Fiona’s name, retracting several defamatory posts and stating that anyone caught spreading rumors again would be reported
to the authorities.
As for Zion, he ended up in the detention center, where he was fined and sentenced to serve time.
With that, the matter had been settled.
When Angela arrived at the office the next morning, she immediately apologized to Callum. He was unbothered, telling her to focus on preparing for her work at Graham Group instead. The two companies had already been in contact, and their respective project teams were set to meet, dine together, and discuss the collaboration details.
Angela was required to attend the dinner.
On the meeting day, she brought Clara, Alan, and Allison along.

“Angela, I heard your partner is your father,” Alan asked, curious.

“No need to flatter me.” Angela scoffed. “The more you try to please him, the more he’ll take advantage of it.‘
Alan was taken aback. It seemed like Angela didn’t get along with her father after all.
They had heard that she had narrowly survived a return from abroad, only to discover her father and stepmother had been planning her funeral.
