“Don’t you, as Peter’s father, understand his character better than anyone?” I asked, my frustration growing.
“He’s been set up, framed, and beaten like this, and yet you’re not defending him? Instead, you’re telling him to swallow his pride. Is this really how wealthy families handle things?”
I growled in exasperation, my voice sharp. “The Sanders, with all its power and prestige, yet when one of its members is wronged, they’re expected to suffer in silence? What’s the point of holding such an estate if that’s the way things work?”
Peter shot me a grateful glance.
Alan looked at me, taken aback, and then shifted his gaze to Benjamin standing beside me.
I could almost see the thoughts running through his mind–he probably assumed I was being so bold only because Benjamin was here.
Honestly, if I didn’t need to hide my true identity, I would’ve already let Hera take control to deal with these people.
Alan frowned, his mind clearly working on something.
But Logan, on the other hand, narrowed his eyes at me and scrutinized my every move. “You’re the Sanders‘ recently discovered daughter, aren’t you?” he sneered.
“You’re an Omega, and I heard you come from some backwater place. Is that why you have no manners?
“What gives you the right to speak here?”
“Who says I don’t have the right to speak?” I shot back, my voice icy.
“Someone like you, with your low morals and crude behavior, gets to talk, but I, a normal person, can’t?” I sneered at him, my words dripping with disdain.
“You little …” Logan hissed, his anger boiling over. His eyes flashed, and he bared his sharp, wolf–like teeth
at me.
Benjamin immediately stepped in front of me, his face a mask of fury, as though ready to shift into his wolf form and tear Logan apart.
Although Logan didn’t recognize Benjamin as an Alpha, the sheer force of Benjamin’s presence caused Logan to take a few instinctive steps back, visibly rattled.
Logan turned sharply toward the door and barked, “Harlan, why are you just standing there? Get in here!”
“Coming, Dad!” Harlan Middleton’s deep voice rang out as he pushed through the door.
The man was enormous–muscles bulging, standing at least half a head taller than Benjamin. “What’s going on, Dad?” he asked, his voice gruff.
“Are you deaf? Didn’t you hear him?” Logan barked at him. “He doesn’t want to marry your sister!”

equals–high–level werewolves. It’s just that our family’s status dropped because of the witch blood mixed into our generation.
“Who are you to look down on us?” he spat, his anger barely contained.
Logan grabbed him by the arm, trying to calm him down. “We don’t need to waste time with them. Let’s just call the police and get some justice!”
The father and son shoved Alan aside and began dragging Peter off the bed.
Benjamin acted quickly, stepping forward and locking eyes with Harlan. The younger man froze, intimidated by the sheer force of Benjamin’s stare.
Without warning, Alan and Logan shifted into their wolf forms, and the two clashed, their bodies crashing together as they began to wrestle fiercely.
“I’m warning you,” Logan shouted, his voice full of threat. “There are reporters outside. If I can’t leave, the Sanders won’t get off easy either!”
I let out a cold chuckle, my voice filled with disdain.
Walking up to Logan, I gave him a sharp look and said in a biting tone, “Tell me who’s behind all of this?”
