Before I could even hang up, I lost consciousness. 

When I woke up again, I was in the professor’s home. 

The warm breeze brushing against my skin felt like the first comfort I’d had in forever, 

The professor, with his graying hair, looked at me with eyes full of concern. 

Seeing my deformed leg, he was almost on the verge of tears. 

“How could such a bright student end up like this?” 

“The doctor said if I’d been even a minute later, you might not have made it.” 

“If that were the case, it would be a loss for the whole country…” 

I didn’t say anything in response, too tired to speak, only sighing in resignation. 

The professor sighed along with me. 

“Good girl, since you called me ‘Professor,‘ I’ll make sure you get the justice you deserve.” 

He handed me a tablet. 

“When you want the information released, you decide.” 

I hesitated for a moment before opening my phone. 

Not a single word of concern from my parents. 

The only messages were from Lucas Henderson–one after another. 

But what stood out the most was the trending headline. 

“CEO of the Henderson Corporation and the Mogane family heiress will officially tie the knot tomorrow.” 

Olivia Mogane, in a dazzling wedding gown, beamed with happiness, nestled close to Lucas Henderson. 

Their hands were clasped tightly, radiating love.

“When the wedding starts, release everything.” 

“Consider it my wedding gift to the happy couple.” 

They gave me nothing in life, so I’ll make sure to take back what’s mine. 

I’ve paid my debts to the Mogane family with a broken leg. 

I paid Lucas Henderson back with five years of imprisonment. 

What’s left is what they owe me. 

And now, it’s time for them to pay up. 

That very night, fireworks lit up the sky, celebrating the marriage of the two families. 

Lucas Henderson wanted to shout to the world about his passionate love for Olivia Mogane. 

I stood quietly by the window, waiting for dawn.

The wedding had already started, but Lucas Henderson’s heart was in turmoil.

“Why do you look so unhappy?” 

Lucas Henderson looked at Olivia Mogane in her wedding dress, but his mind couldn’t help but flash to 

Rozella Mogane. 

He forced a smile, trying to shake off his unease. 

But in the next moment, that smile froze on his face. 

He stared at the screen in disbelief. 

The video that was supposed to be about their love story now showed the face of a stranger. 

With calm authority, the man explained the truth about the car accident. 

He presented evidence that Olivia Mogane had been the one to cause the hit–and–run. 

“It was Lucas Henderson, CEO of the Henderson Corporation, who threatened me to testify falsely and 

clear Olivia Mogane of the charges.” 

“But I couldn’t bear to see such a brilliant girl ruin her life like that, so I have to tell the truth!” 

“It wasn’t Rozella Mogane who was in the car accident.” 

“It was Olivia Mogane, the adopted daughter of the Mogane family!” 

Gasps filled the room. 

Having the biological daughter take the fall for the adopted one was something nobody had ever 

imagined. 

But what shocked everyone even more was the paternity test report. 

The report revealed that: 

Olivia Mogane wasn’t the maid’s daughter, nor was she the biological child of Mogane’s wife.

The Mogane and Henderson families had gone to great lengths to orchestrate this wedding.
