Lemira was pushing the boundaries again.
Evelina sighed, “Caspian, it’s really my fault. Lemmy just hates me.”
“It’s not your fault.”
“But Lemmy is about to sign a disownment agreement with the family. Lucian and Alaric are getting soft, especially Lucian. He blames me for being with the Langstons, thinking that’s why Lemmy stormed off in a huff.”
Evelina’s voice was tinged with hurt.
Caspian softened at her words, “Don’t blame yourself or Lucian. He’s always spoiled Lemira rotten, but don’t worry. As long as I’m here, I won’t let anyone mistreat you.”
“Caspian, I’ll follow your lead.”
velina nodded obediently, “Caspian, I want to make something of myself, try my hand in showbiz. I’m an adult now, shouldn’t keep relying on the Langston family. I want to earn my own keep.”

Michel approached, “You alright? Your brothers are all the same, you’re their sister.”

It was infuriating.
They didn’t treat Lemira like a sister, barely even as a person.
Lemira smiled, changing the subject, “Our team’s sponsors have pulled out. I need to find new ones. Know anyone?”

Lemira followed Michel to a gathering of suit–wearing, professional–looking individuals.
Michel introduced her, “This is Lemira, captain of the Orvin University Team. You’re familiar with her, right?”
After greetings, Lemira briefly explained the team’s situation and mentioned their need for a new base sponsor. One executive said, “We’re all looking forward to what Orvin University Team can achieve next year. Sponsoring shouldn’t be an issue. We’ll talk.”

Lemira breathed a sigh of relief; the sponsorship seemed secured.
“If you’re thinking of sponsoring Orvin University Team, think it through. She turned down our Sinclair’s sponsorship, so good luck with yours.”
Susanna, in a designer dress, strutted over with Evelina and Caspian in tow.
Evelina watched silently, unwilling to let Lemira have her way.
Lemira’s face turned cold, “Susanna, want me to expose the Sinclairs‘ dirty laundry for all to see?”
Lemira didn’t hold back mentioning the Sinclair family’s money laundering.
Since Susanna came looking for trouble, Lemira wasn’t going to play nice.
Caspian frowned, scolding Lemira, “Watch your mouth. Think you can afford to offend the Sinclair family? Apologize to Ms. Sinclair, now.”
Lemira smirked coldly, “And you are?”
