Suzy was already irritated, so the arrival of the two men only made her mood worse. Her disdain for them was evident, and she couldn’t have been less welcoming
Especially when they started bickering like two territorial dogs the moment they crossed paths. The scene was so exasperating that she couldn’t even bring herself to look at them again.
“Allen, get them both out of here. From now on, they’re not allowed inside,” she ordered sharply.
Both men froze, dumbfounded.
They had long sensed Suzy’s annoyance with their constant rivalry, but their animosity toward each other was too deeply ingrained. There was no way they could coexist peacefully.
Unless one of them backed down, but that wasn’t going to happen.
Both were determined to win Suzy’s heart, no matter what.
Even Allen found their behavior increasingly tiresome. As he escorted them out, he couldn’t resist saying, “You two have no idea how to court someone. Acting like this -like bickering children–would turn off anyone, let alone the boss. Honestly, even I don’t want to see the two of you acting so ridiculous.”
Elliot scoffed, clearly unhappy. “Then why don’t you make her choose already?”
“What did you just say?” Allen rolled his eyes at him. “She’s my boss. Why on earth would I tell her what to do? If you’re so eager, why don’t you step aside?”
“Why should I?” Elliot shot back, indignant. “Don’t forget, you’re my uncle!”
“Exactly. And because I’m your uncle, I’m advising you to give up,” Allen said, sighing. “After all, your mentor

He stopped mid–sentence, casting a glance at Dylan. With him present, Allen didn’t
continue.
No one knew Suzy better than he did, and he was certain Elliot didn’t stand a chance.
Persisting in this fruitless pursuit would not only waste everyone’s time but also leave Elliot devastated when it inevitably failed. It was for the boy’s own good that Allen urged him to let go sooner rather than later.

Allen’s comment clearly hinted that he knew something more. Elliot glanced at Dylan, then let out a cold laugh. “As long as my mentor doesn’t make a choice, I won’t give up. Until the end, no one knows what the result will be.
“After all, nothing in this world is harder to predict than the human heart–and nothing changes more easily than that.”
Elliot’s stubbornness gave Allen a headache. “Since neither of you is willing to back down, why don’t you team up instead?”
Dylan, who had remained silent until now, finally spoke. “Team up?”
Elliot looked equally baffled. “Me, team up with him?
“Sir, don’t you think that’s the most ridiculous joke of the century?”
“Ridiculous, my foot!” Allen snapped, clearly frustrated. “Neither of you is getting anywhere with Suzy, and both of you are as annoying as hell.
“Especially now, when she’s already so stressed. Can’t you two at least give her some peace and space?”
Both men spoke in unison. “We’re here to comfort her.”
Allen laughed dryly. “Look at that, so in sync already. That’s why I’m saying you should team up.
“I’m not asking you to do anything drastic–just stop being so combative in front of her. If you keep this up, neither of you stands a chance.”
The two men exchanged a glance, begrudgingly admitting Allen might have a point.
At the moment, Suzy was clearly fed up with both of them. She wouldn’t even spare them a glance, so how could they hope to win her over like this?
After a moment of thought, they decided to hear Allen out.
Dylan asked, “How do we team up?”
“It’s pretty simple,” Allen explained. “For starters, tone down the hostility when you’re in front of her.”
