Already on edge, he was startled further when ghostly, bone–chilling screams echoed through the air. The agonizing cries, relentless and unending, made his blood run cold.

“If you’ve done wrong, don’t even dream of becoming human again,” a sinistèr voice replied. “If you’re lucky, you might end up as plants or trees. But those so- called ‘few bad things‘ you did? Each one was heinous enough to condemn you.”
“This… this is hell?” George stammered, his voice trembling.
The moment the words left his mouth, a figure emerged from the shadows–a man in a long black robe, his face grotesque and fanged. He approached George with an unsettling grin.
“Ah, a newcomer! Congratulations, you guessed correctly. This is the eighteenth level of hell. Only those who committed grave sins during their lives end up here.
“You look so young–how did you manage to meet such an end? Let me guess, you thought the eighteen levels of hell were just a myth, didn’t you? You probably didn’t believe in such things at all.”
The man chuckled darkly as he continued, “That’s common. Most people are atheists these days, thinking that death is the end of everything. They live recklessly, not caring about the consequences. Only when they arrive here do they realize how wrong they were. But by then, it’s far too late.“,
As he spoke, the man stepped closer and grabbed George’s arm with an iron grip.” Time’s up. Let’s go.”

“E–eighteen lifetimes…” George’s face turned ghostly pale.
“That’s right. Eighteen,” the man confirmed with a heavy sigh. “You should’ve thought it through. Was it really worth it? You cost them just a few months of their lives, but now you’re paying for it with multiple lifetimes of suffering. A terrible trade, don’t you think?
“Anyway, before you officially reincarnate, there are a few processes to go through.”
“W–what processes?” George asked, desperately clinging to anything that might delay his fate.
“Climbing a mountain of blades, walking through a sea of fire–all part of the process,” the figure explained with chilling indifference. “These trials will cleanse your sins, ensuring you’re pure enough for reincarnation.
“No more talking. Time is running out.”
The little color left in George’s face drained completely. He fell to his knees, panic overtaking him. “Please, sir, I don’t want to climb the blade mountain or walk through the sea of fire! And I definitely don’t want to be reborn as an animal.
“I’ve realized my mistakes. I’m begging you, spare me! I’ll do anything! Look, I’ll even bow to you!”
As he spoke, George dropped to the ground, his forehead striking the floor as he bowed repeatedly.
The figure remained unmoved. “Bowing won’t change anything. Even if you bash your head bloody, it won’t erase your sins. The crimes are yours, and karma is absolute. You reap what you sow.
