Suzy hadn’t initially realized that Elliot had followed her to Xandria, so she went straight to find Helena upon arrival.
Helena greeted her with delight. “You just got back, and now you’re here again? Did you miss me?”
Suzy carefully observed Helena’s every expression and gesture but found nothing suspicious.
Pressing her lips together, Suzy decided to get straight to the point. “Helena, the lead you gave me earlier–how did you get that information?”
“Why? What’s wrong?” Helena asked, her brows furrowing. “Was it inaccurate?”
“Yes,” Suzy admitted openly. “I’ve searched nearly every corner of the place you mentioned, and there’s no sign of my father.”
“That’s impossible, “.Helena replied, her frown deepening. “The person who told me swore it was reliable.”
“Who told you?” Suzy pressed, wasting no time.
“Well…” Helena hesitated. “I promised her I wouldn’t tell anyone, so I can’t say. But I can assure you, she’s a good person. She’d never do anything to hurt you. As for the lead being off, is it possible there are places you haven’t checked yet? If someone’s trying to hide someone, they wouldn’t make it easy to find them.”
“I’ve combed through nearly every inch of that place,” Suzy said with a wry smile. “Short of digging up the ground, there’s nothing left to search.
“But more importantly, if the lead is genuine, why would this person insist you keep their identity a secret? Have you considered that the information might be false, and they’re hiding because they’re afraid of being exposed?”
Helena’s expression shifted as realization dawned. “Are you saying the lead was fake, and she made me promise to stay quiet so she wouldn’t get caught?”
“What do you think?” Suzy replied, raising an eyebrow.
“But…” Helena bit her lip, hesitating again. “She wouldn’t lie to me, would she? She’s… well, she’s important to me.”
Mid–sentence, Helena abruptly stopped talking and seemed lost in thought. After a moment, she looked at Suzy with determination. “Give me some time. I’ll ask her myself.”
“Alright.”
Whoever this person was, they clearly meant a lot to Helena. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have been so torn about the situation.
To uncover the truth, Suzy secretly followed Hel

Having grown up without a father and with a mother who was the queen and conately beasty, Helena had been raised by her nanny To Helena, the woman was family, which explained her reluctance to disclose anything about her
Curious about this wet nurse, Suzy did a bit of digging
She was an ordinary elderly woman, nearing seventy, with no apparent ties to Charlotte. So why would she fabricate such a lie to deceive them?
Suzy managed to overhear Helena’s conversation with her nanny.
“Nanny, where did you find the lead you gave me?” Helena asked
“I investigated it myself. When I saw you helping that Suzy look for her father, I wanted to assist. After all, she’s been a benefactor to us. If it weren’t for her, we never would’ve seen through Serena’s scheme. Who knows? You might still be hiding away, unable to show your face!”
“Where exactly did you get this information?” Helena pressed further. “And how reliable is the source?”
“I heard it from an underground organization. They mentioned someone had hired them to transport a man to that lawless area. I showed them a photo of Suzy’s father, and they confirmed it was him.”
“Can you take me to this underground organization?”
