Angela read attentively, and before she knew it, the morning had passed by in a flash.
Her presence hadn’t caused any ripples in the design department. Clearly, no one was paying her much attention.
Angela didn’t mind at all. On the third morning, she began packing up as soon as she arrived at the company, looking ready to resign.
Some people whispered behind her back, and others rushed to inform Nora, but none of it slowed her down as she packed.
When Nora emerged and saw her eager–to–leave demeanor, she felt a certain satisfaction.
“Hm, what’s going on here? You’ve only been here for two days and already can’t stand it? I thought Ms. Graham was supposed to be capable and impressive.
“How come you couldn’t even last two quiet days?” Nora’s voice wasn’t loud but clear enough for everyone nearby to hear.
Angela didn’t even spare her a glance, calmly replying, “Your company lacks sincerity. If that’s the case, there’s no point in continuing this collaboration.”
As she spoke, she placed the last document into the cardboard box, preparing to leave.
Nora’s expression stiffened, and she coldly asked, “What’s that supposed to mean? What are you planning to do?”
This slut wouldn’t go to Callum to complain, would she?
Angela wasn’t afraid of complaints. After all, she hadn’t done anything wrong.
“I’ll tell Callum everything that has happened at Graham Group and show him just how arrogant your company is. Even if you were to work for us at DawnStar for free, Callum wouldn’t want a company like this.”
Angela gave Nora a cold look, her demeanor exuding an undeniable chill. Though there was a smile in her eyes, it made people shiver.
Nora froze, looking at Angela in disbelief. “You… What nonsense are you spouting? This is your family’s company, too, and yet you’re so irresponsible, treating it like it doesn’t matter?”
“What’s going on here?” Just then, Bill entered the room, witnessing the scene and overhearing the argument.
“Mr. Bill, Angela is being arrogant and conceited. She thinks our company is beneath her. She’s slandering us for neglecting her, and now she’s about to leave.” Nora struck first.
Angela sneered, unaffected by the accusation.
Bill glanced at both women, his mind shifting as he reassessed the situation.

company and He had originally thought Angela was trying everything she could to enter the fight for the family fortune. Still, he hadn’t expected her to be so loyal to Callum, like some kind of lapdog.
“Let’s talk this through. Ms. Angela is a guest here; how can you arrange things like this for her?” Bill said briefly, stepping in as a mediator.
“Mr. Bill, with all due respect, I am not a guest. I’m here representing DawnStar for an internship and evaluation. For this month, I am a regular employee of Graham Group, representing the company itself.
“I cannot accept Ms. Rutherford’s treatment–isolating me from my colleagues, refusing to assign me tasks, and forcing me to waste my time here.”
Angela spoke each word clearly, making it clear that she was unwavering in her stance.
By openly asserting herself in Graham Group’s affairs, she appeared to have fewer ulterior motives than people might think.
“That’s not acceptable. You’re still an outsider.” Nora sneered, her voice dripping with mockery. “We should handle the Graham Group’s affairs. You’re only here to supervise and evaluate.”
“Oh, is that so?” Angela crossed her arms, looking indifferent.
“In that case, Ms. Rutherford, could you first approve severance pay for the people who were dismissed a few days ago, along with three months‘ salary?
“And while we’re at it, at least half of the design department has been working overtime until 10:00 pm. Perhaps you could approve overtime pay for everyone as well?”
