“I…” Simon started to speak, but before he could finish, Suzy tilted the glass and poured the entire drink into his mouth.
“Ugh–cough, cough!” Simon choked, sputtering as he nearly drowned in the alcohol.
Suzy quickly patted his back, looking entirely too amused. “Slow down, will you?”
“Slow down?” Simon thought, glaring at her. “Who was the one who poured the whole. thing down my
throat?”
“Come on,” Suzy said with a mischievous grin, pouring him another glass. “Since you look so much like my brother, I’ll toast you again!”
“I’m done drinking,” Simon said firmly, standing up. “There are plenty of people in this world who look alike. Go find someone else.”
Before he could move, Suzy pressed him back into the chair with surprising strength. ” True, there are lots of people who look alike, but I haven’t run into anyone else–only you. That’s fate! And for the sake of that fate, you have to drink this.”
Before Simon could protest, she brought the glass to his lips and poured it down again.
At that moment, Simon was convinced his sister had turned into a bandit.
Anyone else who dared treat him like this wouldn’t live to see another day. But this wasn’t just anyone–this was his sister. His long–lost sister whom he had missed dearly for years. Just two drinks in and Simon’s head began to feel fuzzy.
It was embarrassing, really. He excelled at almost everything except holding his liquor. A couple of drinks were enough to make him tipsy, a trait that ran in the Frost family.
Whether it was him, their father, or their grandfather, the men in the family all shared the same weak tolerance for alcohol.
Watching Simon’s face flush red, Suzy’s eyes gleamed with satisfaction. She had no doubt now that this was her brother.
The men of the Frost family all had terrible alcohol tolerance. It was their unmistakable hallmark.
Hiding the flicker of emotion in her eyes, Suzy poured Simon another glass. “I heard that it’s customary to drink three toasts here. You’ve already had two. Come on, one more to complete the tradition.
This time, Simon didn’t argue. Without waiting for Suzy to say more, he picked up the glass and downed the drink in one go.

“Three drinks done. Can I leave now?” he asked, not waiting for a response before heading for the door.
Watching his unsteady steps, Suzy didn’t chase after him.
Instead, she stayed seated and called out softly “Simon Frost.”
“What?” His response was immediate, almost instinctual.
It wasn’t until after the words left his mouth that Simon froze, realizing what he had done. He turned back to her, his expression sharp. “You did that on purpose:”
“How else would you admit it?” Suzy tilted her head with a playful smile. “Not only do you look exactly like my brother, but even your name matches. Still want to deny it?”
“Fine. You’re right. I am him,” Simon said at last, exhaling heavily. “Little sister, it’s been a long time. I’m so sorry for everything you’ve endured.”
All the burdens he should have carried had fallen squarely on her shoulders. On top of that, she had been deceived for years by Charlotte and Claude.
Simon thought he could hold it together, but as the words came out, his voice cracked, thick with emotion. “I’m so sorry, little sister. I’ve let you down.”
Hearing him admit who he was and call her “little sister” shattered the last of Suzy’s composure. Tears spilled down her cheeks in an unstoppable torrent, like a dam that had finally burst.
She thought she would never see him again in this lifetime. Yet here he was–alive.
Her brother was alive.
The reunion she had only ever dreamed of, one she thought impossible, was now a reality. Suzy didn’t dare blink, afraid that if she did, all of this would vanish like an illusion.
She stared at him for a long time, her teary eyes tracing every detail of his face, confirming again and again that this was real.
When she was finally certain, Suzy stood and walked up to him, her voice hoarse as she asked, “Brother… are our two brothers alive too?”
