The woman walked over and sat on the sofa opposite Suzy, “Tell me, why do you think a woman would hate a man so deeply?”
“… Because he hurt you?”
“Exactly.” The woman nodded without hesitation. “Years ago, I traveled to Zentora and, by chance, met Dylan. Using his power and influence, he raped me.”
Suzy was speechless.
Dylan? Doing something like that? Could her accusation be any less believable?.
“I see,” Suzy replied, feigning agreement. “So, you’ve hated him ever since. Three years ago, you drugged him, and just recently, you sent your shadow guards to kill him.
“If that’s the case, you must be part of the royal family. From what I know, only those with supreme authority can command that organization. Helena is dead, and Evangeline has no ties to Dylan, so she wouldn’t target him. How, then, did you gain control over that organization?”
The woman seemed unfazed by Suzy’s deduction and instead looked at her with admiration. “It seems you know quite a lot about our country.
“Most people wouldn’t be able to uncover such information. Even Dylan, after all these years, has found nothing. Yet, in just a few days, you’ve managed to learn everything- things you should and shouldn’t know. As expected of the world’s top assassin.”
“You flatter me,” Suzy replied with a faint smile. “So, how exactly did you manage to command that organization?”
“That’s something I can’t disclose for now.” The woman smoothly shifted the topic to her objective. “I know you still have feelings for Dylan. Asking you to harm him would be too much, so I won’t push you.
“All I need is for you to eliminate Evangeline for me. Do that, and I’ll write off my grudge with Dylan completely. Afterward, the two of you can live your lives in peace, and I won’t interfere.”
Suzy raised a brow. “It seems your hatred for Evangeline runs deeper than your hatred for Dylan. But there’s one thing I don’t understand. You’re powerful and influential. Even without me, Evangeline shouldn’t be a threat to you. Why insist on having me deal with her?”
“Because you’re the world’s top assassin. You’ve never failed a mission you’ve taken on. Most people couldn’t get close to Evangeline. But you? You’re different. If you set your

“I see.” Suzy’s lips curved into a faint smile. “Since you hold me in such high regard, I’ll take this mission.”
She added, “But remember what you promised Once it’s done, leave Dylan alone. Otherwise…”
“Of course!” The woman agreed readily. “As soon as Evangeline is gone, I’ll have no reason to target Dylan anymore. If I go back on my word, you’re welcome to deal with me the same way you deal with Evangeline.”
“Deal.”
Suzy stood. “Now that the deal is settled, I’ll take my leave. Let me know when you need me to act.”
“Here’s to a successful partnership!”
Suzy smiled faintly, clasping the woman’s extended hand. “A successful partnership.” The woman withdrew her hand and nodded politely. “Safe travels, Miss Frost.”
Without another word, Suzy turned and walked toward the door.
Of course, she had no intention of leaving—it was all part of the act.
