Clara instantly felt as if she had an army behind her, her confidence surging.
The supervisor stood on the podium, glancing over the classroom, “Regarding the issue on our campus forum, we have reached a conclusion.”
“Please, announce it. We can’t wait any longer.”
“After an investigation by the school: The rumor on the forum that Lemira has a sugar daddy is unfounded! The student who posted that message will be disciplined by the school!”
Clara was incredulous, “That can’t be right! Lemira, an orphan with no parents, how can she afford all these designer brands? There’s definitely something fishy!”
While it’s true Lemira has lost her parents, she still has an elder brother, and we have verified this situation. Do you have any objections
the school’s decision, Clara?”
Clara instantly backed down, “It just seems unbelievable! What about our locked phones?”
“Since the content of the forum post is false, indeed, you all owe Lemira an apology!”
After the supervisor finished speaking, the classroom erupted into chaos.
The supervisor gave Lemira a complex look, not expecting her to be so discreet, the rich Ms. Langston pretending to be an orphan. Most surprising was her talents!
After announcing the verdict, the supervisor left, feeling somewhat embarrassed for having misunderstood Lemira himself.
Soon, the school issued a notice regarding the rumor–spreading incident on the campus forum. Clara was furious, thinking, “Lemira’s getting off scot–free?”
Lemira’s mood was lifted for this outcome, reassured that justice still existed.
After class, Lemira headed straight to the team base. Aside from training, she had other matters to attend to!
When Lemira entered the base, everyone was already there, and her arrival caused a moment of silence.
After all, Lemira was now a celebrity at school! Single–handedly taking on the Business School and the whole institution!
Rumor had it that the school couldn’t crack the code Lemira wrote, and those with locked phones could only post apologies to get their
devices back on track.
Jackson looked at Lemira in surprise, “Why are you here?”
He thought Lemira, after stirring up such a storm, wouldn’t dare to show her face.
“Shouldn’t I be? After all, I’m a reserve member.”
“Of course, you can, but I wouldn’t recommend it right now. With the phone–locking incident, many are displeased with you!*
Lemira laughed coldly, saying, “So, they spread rumors, make mistakes, and shouldn’t pay a price?”
What kind of logic was that?
“I didn’t mean that. Since you’re here for training, that’s fine. We’re doing team–based, knockout style! The losing side might not continue as reserve members!”
Jackson’s words were clear, given Lemira had made many enemies.
Lemira agreed without hesitation, “Sure.”
After visiting the restroom, she encountered Jackson.
“Lemira, don’t take my earlier words to heart. The team is primarily sponsored by the Business School, and we can’t offend our
benefactors.”
Lemira’s tone was calm, “I understand.”
“I’m glad you do. Honestly, I think you’re quite talented and capable. But becoming an official member might be difficult, though not impossible. I’ll advocate for you!”
As Jackson spoke, he put his hand on Lemira’s shoulder. Lemira quickly stepped away, eyeing him warily.
“Lemira, I actually like you quite a bit. How about being my girlfriend?”
Jackson started to make his move! Lemira slapped his hand away, “Back off, creep!”
“Lemira, don’t throw away your chance. Believe me, I can make you fricking leave today with just one word!”
