Chapter 261
Lucian fixed his gaze on the supervisor, “I’m Lemira’s brother, Lucian, her family!”
“What, you’re her brother? But Lemira claimed she was an orphan with no living parents,” the supervisor was clearly taken aback by this sudden revelation.
Lucian turned towards Lemira, a hint of helplessness in his tone, “Lemmy, do you really despise being linked to the Langstons that
much?”
Lemira spoke directly to the supervisor, “It’s true, my parents are no longer alive, and I have no other farmily”
She was adamant about not acknowledging her connection to the Langston family!
“I understand you’re upset with us, but this isn’t the time to throw a tantrum.”
ucian felt a bit headache, not expecting Lemira’s firm stance.
He faced the supervisor, “This is my business card, and ID card. Lemira is indeed my sister. She’s been at odds with the family, which is why she’s denying our relationship. But she does have family!”
As the supervisor inspected Lucian’s credentials, which confirmed their shared last name and address, his expression shifted uncomfortably, realizing Lemira indeed came from a well–off family background.
Lemira’s brother was a CEO. The rumors about her being kept must be false, then.
The teacher chimed in, “Seems like Ms. Langston is just rebelling by running away from home,”
The supervisor’s expression was an interesting sight to see. He realized his earlier comments had backfired.
He quickly stated, “We were unaware of Lemira’s family situation and may have misunderstood her actions. Still, locking her classmates‘ phones with that mini program added was her fault.”
“But those students were spreading false rumors about my sister. If they have a problem with that, they’re welcome to discuss it with my lawyer. I won’t hesitate to take legal action against each of them!”
Lucian’s stance was unwavering. No one messed with his sister!
The supervisor, now at a loss, turned to the principal, “How should we proceed with this?”
Now that it was clear Lemira wasn’t a struggling orphan but a wealthy heiress, the situation was tricky.
The principal then addressed Lucian, “But Lemira has also clashed with students from the Business School. As a businessman yourself, Mr. Langston, you must understand the implications if their parents learn of this.”
No one wanted to cross the Business School students‘ influential families.
Lucian snorted, “They started the rumors first. The Langstons won’t back down.”
“Who told you to meddle in this? This is my business!” Lemira gazed at Lucian, “Just go. I don’t need you to handle my business!”
“Lemmy, you can be mad at me all you want after this is settled.”
“I’ve cut ties with you Langstons. You have no right to intervene!”
Lemira resented any charity from the Langstons, refusing to be associated with them in any way.
Lucian offered a weary smile before turning back to the principal, his demeanor dominant, “We will pursue this matter to the end.” Lemira only felt irritated. Looking at the supervisor, she said, “Weren’t you asking for an explanation about my relationship with that man and my financial situation? I have proof.”
She was a popular streamer and a key member of the Maple Group research team, financially independent.
The supervisor coughed, “Since your brother’s here, we don’t need any more proof.”
“He’s not my brother! I can prove my situation myself!”
Despite her protests, the supervisor dismissed her claims as mere tantrums from a wealthy Ms. Langston. How utterly frustrating!
At that moment, the principal received a phone call, answering with utmost respect, “Yes, understood. I know how to handle this
situation now.”

After her explanation, the teacher let out a wry trule, “So that was t Your clever trick in something most wouldnf fine of Le your family ever get you extra tutoring?”
The principal turned to Lucian, “Mr. Langston, how did you raise this child? Our school has many top students, but we’ve only co across someone as gifted as Lemira until now.”
Lucian’s face was a mix of emotions. He smiled bitterly, I believe she taught herself alt of this”
The family had never provided any special training for Lemira. If anything, they held her back!
Lemira stood up from the laptop. To her, this was all not difficult, for she had learned much of it in her past life.
The teacher was pleased, “Lemira, for someone as gifted as you, the school offers specialized training programs. Would you be interested?”
“She’s not going!” Lucian quickly refused on her behalf, and then told Lemira, gazing at her, “This special course should be at the Business School, meant for the elite.”
But Lemira had conflicts with the Sinclair family. If she attended classes at the Business School, she might be bullied! “Of course, it’s up to Lemira herself.”
Lemira caimly declined, “indeed, I don’t feeling like going.”
The principal tried to persuade her, “If you’re worried about your previous issues with the Business School, I can help sort them out.” “Really, it’s fine. I appreciate your kindness. Even without so–called elite education, I can still outshine them!” Lemira’s tone was serene yet boid.
She had hoped to enjoy a low–key college life. But circumstances demanded otherwise!
After finishing her piece, she left the principal’s office, certain that the issue was solved.
Lucian followed her, “Sis, can we talk?”
“Don’t call me that. I’m not your sister!”
Lemira’s eyes dripped with impatience. She hurried down the stairs, only to run into Evelina at the landing.
Evelina wore a smug look, “Lemira, did the principal discipline you? Told you to apologize early, but you wouldn’t listen!”
“Lemmy didn’t do anything wrong. Why should she apologize?” Lucian defended, coming down after her.
Evelina’s face turned pale with shock. What was Lucian doing here?
