Unfortunately, Claude had already killed Avalon
By the time Suzy found her, she was completely lifeless, her breathing ceased, and her body cold. Yet, her eyes, wide open, were filled with guilt and regret that would never be spoken.
Despite everything, Avalon had once been a part of her journey, walking alongside her for a time. Choosing not to harbor resentment, Suzy instructed Allen and Riley to ensure she received a proper burial.
With that settled, Suzy stayed behind on the island.
She was convinced there had to be a hidden mechanism here, something she had yet to uncover. She wasn’t leaving until she found Dylan and Claude.
As she wandered the island, she noticed something peculiar–everything about this place seemed tailored to her preferences.
She remembered once sharing about a childhood dream, saying she wanted to own an island, to fill it with flowers, plants, and adorable animals–birds, puppies, kittens, and
more.
And here it was. This island had everything she’d once imagined.
Claude’s love for her was undeniable. She could feel it in every detail.
But no matter how much he loved her, Suzy couldn’t summon the kind of feelings he wanted. For her, he was like a brother, nothing more. No matter how he changed his role or identity, that truth wouldn’t waver.
He would always stay as her brother.
She told him this before, but Claude refused to hear it.
The man he had become now bore no resemblance to the warm, refined figure she remembered from her past.
Lost in thought, Suzy was suddenly pulled back to reality by an unusual sound.
She turned toward the source, her senses sharp, but saw nothing.
It was as if the sound had been a figment of her imagination.
She had clearly heard something,
Furrowing her brows slightly, Suzy quickly stepped forward.
After a brief search, she discovered a small white rabbit.

Having been an assassin for years, Suzy could distinguish between sounds made by animals and those produced by humans.
The sound earlier was clearly not from an animal but from a human.
So, as she suspected, the two of them were not dead. They were still on the island.

Suppressing the emotions flickering in her eyes, Suzy bent down to pick up the little rabbit. Her tone was soft as she spoke, “Little one, running around in the middle of the night instead of sleeping? You scared me into thinking someone was here!”
She let out a sigh and said, “With currents that strong, how could anyone survive? If we haven’t found them, it’s likely they were swept away. After all, Claude was set on dying and taking Dylan with him.”
After murmuring to herself for a moment, Suzy gently set the rabbit down, then turned and headed back to her room.
However, just as she turned, a tall, dark figure emerged from the shadows in the nearby bushes, watching her retreating figure in silence, his gaze lingering for a long time.
Suzy stayed on the island for a few more days but found nothing. She finally decided to leave. “We’ve been here long enough. If we haven’t discovered anything by now, it proves my suspicions were wrong. There’s no point in searching anymore!”
At her command, Allen and Riley began packing up.
Before long, the group boarded a helicopter and left.
The island, briefly bustling with activity, returned to its usual desolate silence.
Only after confirming everyone had left did the tall figure hidden in the shadows finally step out, emerging from the darkness.
What he hadn’t anticipated was that Suzy had been playing a diversionary tactic on him. “Dylan, why are you hiding again this time?”
The last time, he had vanished during the bridge collapse just to play on her worry. And now?
Couldn’t he see how many people were genuinely concerned about him?
