In the dead of night, the meaning behind Hawke’s words was painfully clear, and both Diana and Victor understood it perfectly.
Diana frowned at him. “Are you saying my sister is dating you now?”
“Why not?” Hawk chuckled lightly. “Don’t tell me you’re like your brother, thinking that even after their divorce, Suzy still belongs to him?”
Of course not. Diana wasn’t that naive. She simply hadn’t expected things to happen so quickly.
After all, Suzy had loved her brother for three years–it wasn’t something that could just disappear overnight.
Seeing Diana at a loss for words, a faint shadow flickered in Hawk’s eyes. “Suzy is my girlfriend now. She has nothing to do with Dylan anymore, so I’d appreciate it if you two stopped bothering us.”
With that, he moved to close the door.
Diana quickly pressed her hand against it, stopping it from shutting. “I need to see my sister!”

o matter what, she had to bring Suzy to the hospital. Otherwise, her brother might not
make it.
“She won’t see you,” Hawk said firmly, staring at her. He enunciated each word clearly. In fact, she saw all the messages you sent earlier. She’s the one who asked me to come out and deal with you.”
Diana was speechless. So, Suzy really didn’t care if her brother lived or died?
What they didn’t know was that Suzy wasn’t even in the villa.
Victor’s earlier call hadn’t been cut off by Suzy; it was Hawk who had secretly jammed the signal, causing the call to drop automatically.
Right after the call ended, Suzy had received another one from Avalon, saying they had located Charlotte’s whereabouts.
For Suzy, Charlotte was her top priority. Without hesitation, she followed the address Avalon sent her and drove off.
As for why she hadn’t answered Diana’s calls or replied to her messages–that was also thanks to Hawk. He had blocked all of Diana’s attempts to contact Suzy.
After driving for over two hours, Suzy finally arrived at the location Avalon had given her. Meeting Avalon there, she asked, “Where is she?”

Avalon’s gaze remained unreadable as she pointed toward a direction. “A witness said they saw her over there. I’ve already sent people to search the area, but so far, there’s no news.” Suzy glanced toward where Avalon was pointing. Her brows furrowed as she stepped forward.
The area was a small village nestled at the foot of a mountain, and Avalon’s direction led to an expansive forest.
The winter forest was barren and desolate. Even without the leaves obscuring the view, there was nothing to see in the eerie stillness.
Suzy glanced at Avalon, who was trailing behind her. “Are you sure someone actually saw her?”
Avalon nodded. “This is Charlotte’s hometown. The most dangerous place is often the safest. She would never expect us to track her down here. I wasn’t sure either. I just decided to check this area.
“I searched the surroundings thoroughly and was about to leave when someone mentioned seeing a silhouette in the forest that looked strikingly like her. That’s when I called you.”
Avalon never lied, nor would she have a reason to deceive Suzy. If she said there was a lead, it was highly possible Charlotte was hiding here
This place was remote and secluded, making it a perfect spot for someone trying to stay out of sight.
Pressing her lips together, Suzy instructed, “Call Allen. Tell him to send more men.”
Avalon quickly made the call. Allen worked fast; within minutes, he had mobilized the nearby covert team, and they all arrived promptly.
Under Suzy’s orders, the team began a meticulous search of the forest. After over an hour of scouring, Avalon came running back, her face full of excitement.
