Yara was undeniably fast, her movements revealing a clear proficiency in combat. But to Riley and Raven, her skills were nothing to be impressed by.
Though they called it a competition, the two worked seamlessly to flank her, quickly cornering Yara in a narrow alley.
“What’s wrong? Out of energy?” Riley taunted, hands on her hips as she stepped closer. Listen, kid, take my advice: spill what you know to our boss, and you might just walk away with your life.”
Raven added a smirk, “You’re only twenty years old. Your life’s just getting started.
Are you really willing to throw away your bright future for someone else? Think about it. Are you ready to give up the dream of a life surrounded by handsome men?”
Yara sneered, her eyes cold. “You’re celebrating too early. Do you really think you can take me down?”
She laughed, then lunged toward Riley, who was the closest to her. “It’s been a while since I’ve had a good workout. You two will do nicely to loosen me up.”
“Arrogant much?” Riley quipped, deftly dodging and countering Yara’s attack. Raven took the opportunity to strike as well, the two of them working together in perfect harmony.
Yara had reason to be confident–her skills were enough to take on ten opponents at once,
Unfortunately for her, she wasn’t up against just anyone.
Riley and Raven, trained personally by Suzy, were far from ordinary.
After just a few rounds, the two easily overpowered her.
But just when they thought it was over, Yara pulled a dirty trick. From nowhere, she flung a packet of white powder directly at them.
“Cough… cough…” Riley and Raven staggered back, coughing as dizziness set in, their vision blurring and their footing unsteady as if they were walking on clouds. Yara smirked triumphantly. “You thought you could capture me? Think again!”
“Maybe in your next life!” she sneered, delivering a sharp kick to each of them, sending them both to the ground. From her waistband, she drew a compact handgun, aiming it at them.
But just as she prepared to fire, a sharp pain shot through her wrist. A silver needle had struck her pressure point, rendering her hand completely numb. The gun slipped from her fingers and clattered to the ground.
Suzy
descended like a shadow from above, her and closing tightly around Yara’s throat.

Her voice was cold and unyielding. “I’ll ask you one last time–who’s behind this?”
Her eyes brimmed with lethal intent, and Yara knew that Suzy’s patience had run out. If she didn’t give her the answer she wanted, Suzy would undoubtedly end her life. But if she told the truth…
“Just kill me!” Yara spat out, her voice trembling but defiant.
Suzy’s gaze narrowed. “So, is it loyalty? Or is it that you and that person are closer than you’re letting on?” Her voice dipped Goodwin as she leaned closer, her next words slicing through the air like a blade.
“Tanya Goodwin.”
At the sound of her real name, a flicker of panic crossed Yara’s eyes. “So, what if you know my name? I told you, I don’t know anything!”
Suzy’s lips curled into a cold smile. “If you won’t talk, I won’t force you.
Her tone remained calm, almost nonchalant. “But I’m sure someone else will.”
Without giving Yara a chance to respond, Suzy pulled out her phone and called Mark.
The call was answered almost instantly.
After clearing her throat, Suzy’s tone turned light, yet every word carried an edge. “Mr. Goodwin, I came across a young woman here abroad named Tanya Goodwin. We’ve had a little… disagreement. Since you share the same last name with her, I thought I’d give you a courtesy call to ask if you know her.
Her voice dropped, taking on a sinister calm. “If you do, I might let it slide for your sake. But if you don’t…”
She paused for effect, then continued, her words sharp and deliberate. “Well, you know me, Mr. Goodwin. I don’t forgive easily. So, you’d better think carefully before you answer. After all, this is a matter of life and death. There won’t be a chance for regret.”
