Unable to tolerate him any longer, Suzy threw a punch straight at Hawk. “Just die already!”
But Hawk caught her hand, wrapping it in his warm grip. “Such a temper, especially in this summer heat. It’s not good for your health.”
She tried to pull her hand free, but the more she struggled, the tighter he held. “Let go!”
Ignoring her demand, he casually held her hand as he led her inside. “It’s my first time coming home in years. I’ll be needing your care from now on.”
Her urge to kill him intensified. Fixing her gaze on the back of his neck, she narrowed her eyes and raised a hand to strike.
As if he’d anticipated it, Hawk spun around at the last second, pulling her into his arms just as her hand was about to make contact. “Ah, so you don’t want me to hold your hand- you want me to hold you instead. Well, I’m happy to oblige.”
With that, he began to lower himself, preparing to lift her into his arms. But in that instant, he felt the sharp press of a silver needle against his throat.
“Junior, is this…?”
“Hawk, whether it’s in Harlow Corporation or the Harlow estate, I don’t want to see you at all!”
She had never felt such intense hatred for anyone.
No, there was someone else.
One was Hawk, and the other was Dylan–two insufferable jerks she couldn’t stand the sight of.
Seeing she was genuinely angry, Hawk wisely backed off. “It’s late. You should get some rest, Junior.”
With that, he turned and left.
Suzy lowered the needle and exhaled sharply. She was about to head inside when-

Hearing Anne’s voice, Suzy’s barely relaxed brow furrowed again.
“One after another… will this day never end?” she thought.
Ignoring her, Suzy quickened her pace.
“Miss Frost, wait! I need to speak with you!” Anne hurried after her, breathless as she blocked Suzy’s path.

Without even a glance at Anne, Suzy pulled out her phone. “Hello, is this the Westbrook Correctional Facility? I’m calling about your inmate, Anne Wheeler. Her mental state has shown full recovery-
Before she could finish, Anne snatched the phone from her. “Suzy, are you in such a hurry to send me back to prison because you’re afraid I’ll rekindle things with Dylan?”
“Finally dropping the act?” Suzy’s tone dripped with disdain. “Anne, whatever reason you had for coming here, if you don’t want to spend the rest of your life in prison, I suggest you get out of my sight before my patience runs out.”
Anne sneered. “Without Dylan’s permission, do you really think you can touch me?”
Her confidence grew as she continued, “Did you really think sending me to prison was about punishing me for you? It was all for my own protection. Even this claim about my ‘ mental state‘ is just a convenient excuse to quiet the public.
“Have you seen the news? He’s made it clear to everyone that I’m his woman, and he’s even talking about marriage. Oh, and didn’t he confess his ‘love‘ for you just the other day?”
Anne’s smirk deepened. “Don’t tell me you fell for it? I wouldn’t have spoiled his plan, but since you seem to need a reality check: he did it all for me. You humiliated me at the Goodwin’s, so he’s been pretending to be interested in you, just waiting for you to fall for it so he can crush you when you least expect it.”
