From the surveillance footage, Suzy watched as Anne sought help from Dylan one moment, and in the next, he appeared..
Suzy’s fingers tightened around her phone involuntarily.
For him to show up this quickly meant he was already at the hospital.
Even at such a late hour, he still came to see Anne–was this the “indifference” Allen had talked about?
With a cold chuckle, Suzy turned off the surveillance feed.
Anne hadn’t expected Dylan to arrive so swiftly.
After Desmond restrained those men, she asked, “Mr. Dylan, you’ve been so busy lately. What made you come by so late?”
“Just happened to be passing by.
Today, an employee happened to get himself injured, and since Wright Corporation was close to Wheeler Hospital, he was brought here”
While heading back, Dylan had overheard Desmond mention the incident and thought to stop by. After all, that employee had worked diligently for Wright Corporation for years.
However, just as he was about to leave, he didn’t expect to receive a call from Anne.
Her tone was urgent and fearful, not something she’d fake, so he changed course to come
over.
Without saying more to Anne, Dylan glanced at Desmond. “Find out who sent them.”
“Yes, sir!”
Dylan didn’t linger; he turned to leave.
“Mr. Dylan…” Anne called out, “I don’t know who sent those people, and they might come back. I’m… a little scared…
Helena added, “Yes, those men looked ruthless. It’s no wonder Anne’s shaken–even I was terrified! Why don’t you stay and keep her company, Mr. Dylan?”
Dylan paused, then instructed Desmond, “Arrange a few guards at the door.”
He looked at Anne. “Will that be enough?”
Anne fell silent.

painful than tears, trying to appear mature. “I understand, Mr. Dylan. It’s not that you don’t want to stay–you’re just too busy. Go on just drop by when you have time!”
Without another word, Dylan turned and left.
Suzy’s plan for revenge was interrupted by Dylan, leaving her particularly annoyed. Dylan, you might have saved them this time, but I don’t believe you can save them every time!”
She wasn’t worried about those men revealing anything they shouldn’t–her only concern was that they might stay silent. So, even though she knew they were now in Dylan’s custody, Suzy chose not to intervene.
Even if he found out, what difference would it make?
Just like last time, she hadn’t made the first move. She was curious if he’d defend Anne as unconditionally as before.
Realizing her emotions were a bit unsettled, Suzy returned to the hospital and practiced series of breathing exercises to calm herself.
There were more important matters to attend to; Anne wasn’t worth a second thought. After calming down, Suzy went to sleep–she had tasks to handle in the morning.
After sleeping soundly until dawn, Suzy got up at eight, awaiting the arrival of Martin, who had been hypnotized.
Right on time, Martin appeared in Suzy’s hospital room, accompanied by the family butler. Upon seeing him, Suzy cast a deep gaze his way.
His once–clouded eyes suddenly brightened, filled with gratitude as he thanked her enthusiastically. “Miss Frost, thank you for rescuing me yesterday. I should’ve come sooner. Though I wasn’t hurt, my son and daughter insisted I stay home because of my old age.”
