Chapter 15
Bella didn’t know if Alpha Carl Trevor was telling the truth, but she refused to give up on even the smallest chance. Determined, she quickly rushed to the Moonlight Haven Hotel
As she arrived at the hotel, she hastily opened the car door and swiftly made her way towards the elevator. Just as she stepped into the lift, she caught a glimpse of Alpha Xavier and Samantha
It was too late to retreat, and there was no reason to. Bella knew she was innocent, so there was no
reason to fear this deceitful pair.
Upon seeing Bella enter the elevator, Samantha immediately leaned against Alpha Xavier, making him slightly uncomfortable. He glanced at Bella from the corner of his eyes, but she didn’t pay him any mind. With crossed arms and a cold expression, she stood aside, unphased.
Alpha Xavier felt anger bubbling up inside him, but he kept it bottled up. At first, he had intended to push Samantha away, but seeing that Bella was ignoring him, he chose to continue holding onto Samantha
Meanwhile, Bella was completely oblivious to their interaction. Her phone rang once again, and she hastily retrieved it from her pocket. Alpha Carl Trevor’s voice came through, saying, “30 minutes is up!”
“I’m already in the elevator!” Bella replied urgently.
“I gave you only 30 minutes. Since you couldn’t follow the rules, let’s drop this matter!” Alpha Carl Trevor responded coldly.
Panic seized Bella upon hearing Alpha Carl Trevor’s icy tone. “Alpha Carl Trevor, you can’t do this! I’m already here. There was a traffic jam; it’s not my fault!”
As he observed Bella anxiously pleading her case, Alpha Xavier’s heart burned with anger. This woman, back when they were dating, she was always the one making him wait. She was always late, but he never saw any apology from her. Truly, comparison bred misery!
Alpha Xavier simmered with frustration. Then, the elevator came to a stop. Bella rushed out and made her way directly to the room where Alpha Carl Trevor awaited.
Sensing Alpha Xavier’s anger from his expression, Samantha saw an opportunity and decided to add fuel to the fire. “Bella Moonshadow seems to be with Alpha Carl Trevor now. He’s quite the playboy…”
“Is it your business to meddle in others‘ affairs?” Alpha Xavier retorted, clearly displeased.
Feeling slightly embarrassed by his cold and grumpy response, Samantha fell silent.
Without wasting any time, Bella pushed open the door to the room. Alpha Carl Trevor sat on the sofa with his legs crossed, while Lucas stood nearby. Bella forced a smile and greeted, “Alpha Carl Trevor!”

“Humph! Alpha Carl Trevor responded, glancing at his wristwatch.
“You’re late, Bella Moonshadow!”
“Alpha Carl Trevor, I apologize!” Bella replied, maintaining her smile.
“Apologies? You do remember my rules, don’t you?”
“Yes, I do! Alpha Carl Trevor, regarding the kidney source…”
Alpha Carl Trevor raised his bandaged wrist and blew on it before giving Bella a scrutinizing look. “Regarding the kidney source, it’s a piece of cake for me, but…”
Suppressing her impatience, Bella interjected, “As long as Alpha Carl Trevor can help me, I’m willing to do
anything!”
“Willing to do anything?” Alpha Carl Trevor drawled.
“Well… except for that,” Bella stammered.
Alpha Carl Trevor raised an eyebrow, finding Bella rather intriguing. Other women fell at his feet, but she showed remarkable resistance to him. He enjoyed seeking novelty, and Bella was exactly his type. Such things couldn’t be rushed.
Lost in thought, Alpha Carl Trevor’s face transformed into a smile that was out of this world. “Do you still want to fire me?”
“No, not anymore.”
“In that case, sign this contract.” Alpha Carl Trevor signaled to Lucas, who opened his briefcase and produced the contract, handing it to Bella.
Bella accepted the contract, feeling a sense of confusion. “What is this?”
“This is an employment contract. Didn’t you fire me before? Well, let’s sign it again. Your uncle’s kidney source will be provided by me. The only condition is that you return to work at the office.”
Bella quickly scanned through the contract, failing to notice any differences. The doctor had warned her that her uncle’s condition required urgent attention. She couldn’t afford to waste any time. Determination welled up within her, and she tightly clenched her fists as she picked up the pen to sign.
Alpha Carl Trevor’s gaze remained fixed on Bella. Seeing her sign the contract, he motioned for Lucas to put it away. Then, he smirked at Bella and said, “The contract is effective immediately. I will fulfill my duties, and I expect you to remember your responsibilities. Be ready to be on call at all times!”
