“Suzy?” Diana rubbed her eyes in disbelief. “It’s really you!”
Caught off guard, Suzy’s eyes flickered with annoyance.
She hadn’t expected to run into her former sister–in–law, especially not here on what she thought was her own turf.
Pulling herself together, Suzy offered a slight smile. “Diana, what a coincidence.”
“Yeah, what a coincidence!” Diana ran up and grabbed Suzy’s hand. “I’ve been looking for you for days, and I can’t believe I’m finally seeing you here.”
Diana was both shocked and thrilled to see Suzy
Her emotions were all over the place.
The only reason Diana even showed up at this place today was because a friend had invited her to an exhibition to cheer her up.
After all, with Suzy missing and nowhere to be found, how could she be in a good mood?
She had even bombed her exams.
She didn’t want to come but had been dragged here.
Yet, to her surprise, here was the very person she had been searching for–her dear sister-
in–law.
Diana’s eyes never left Suzy, noticing right away that she had lost weight, which made her eyes fill with tears.
“Suzy, my brother wants a divorce, but why didn’t you tell Grandma? Even if you’re worried about her health, you should’ve at least told me. How could you just leave Bayview Heights without a word and make room for that witch?”

the mention of Anne, Diana gritted her teeth in anger. “You have no idea how arrogant that woman is. She’s already bragging about it when nothing has been confirmed yet! I’ve already told Grandma, and she’ll be back in the next couple of days. Suzy, you have to come back with me. Once Grandma’s home, she’ll definitely stand up for you.”

“It wasn’t him. It was me,” Suzy said firmly, her words measured and clear. “Even without Anne, It was never going to work between your brother and ine. I don’t want to waste any
more time.”
“So, what you’re saying is… you don’t love my brother anymore, and you’re not coming back?” Diana’s voice faltered, struggling to comprehend.
“That’s right,” Suzy confirmed without hesitation.
Diana tried to defend her brother fervently. “I really don’t think my brother loves Anne. The only reason he treats her so well is because she saved him. He probably just feels grateful, that’s all…”
“That’s his business,” Suzy interrupted her. “Whatever feelings he has for Anne, whether it’s love or gratitude, they’re not my concern anymore. Diana, I’m grateful for how you and Grandma stood by me these past three years. Please apologize to Grandma on my behalf- I’ve let her down. But I need to go.
“Suzy…” Diana refused to let go. “Come home with me. Even if you and my brother are divorced, the Wright family will always be your home. Let’s go back to the house, and when Grandma returns, the three of us will stick together. As for my brother, let him and that witch Anne be miserable together for the rest of their lives.”
Suzy gently pulled her hand out of Diana’s grip. “Please bid goodbye to Grandma on my behalf.”
“Suzy…” Diana tried to follow, but her path was blocked by Riley, who had been watching the entire exchange from the shadows.
“This way, Miss,” Riley said, stepping deliberately in front of Diana.
“Move!” Diana snapped, giving her a light shove.
Riley leaned into the push, making Diana hesitate.
“What are you doing?” Diana quickly stepped back, startled.
Riley straightened, casually adjusting the edge of her scarf where the hand had shoved her. “You shove me and then ask what I’m doing?”
