Seeing Suzy enter, Aruna didn’t stop–she moved even faster, the blade almost at her chest.
Suzy sneered coldly. “Without my permission, dying is just a dream for you!”
She grabbed a nearby object and threw it at Aruna’s hand with lightning speed. The blade was knocked out of her grasp and clattered to the ground.
Aruna didn’t hesitate. She immediately bent down to retrieve it.
Her master’s orders were absolute–she had to die. If she disobeyed, her master would never let her or her family

Besides, now that Suzy knew she had been faking her illness, falling into her hands would only lead to a worse fate.
Suzy saw through Aruna’s intentions instantly.
She strode over, and just as Aruna’s fingers brushed the blade, Suzy stomped down on her hand, pinning it to the ground
“I told you, without my permission, you’re not going anywhere–not even to the afterlife,” Suzy said icily.
Aruna winced in pain, but she forced a mocking smile. “Who do you think you are?”
Suzy smirked. “Have you forgotten already? I, on the other hand, remember exactly who you are.”
With that, Suzy grabbed Aruna by the chin, her piercing gaze narrowing. “Aruna, long time no see.”
Aruna froze, her composure cracking under Suzy’s sharp glare, which was as cutting as a blade.
She stammered, “You… you’re the girl Barret sent to Dragon back then! I swear, it was all Barret’s idea. I was just following orders as his subordinate. If you’re here for revenge, take it out on him, not me!”
“Ha,” Suzy chuckled, giving Aruna’s cheek a light tap.
“You think fast, don’t you? But I didn’t come here to watch you perform. You know exactly why I’m here, so spare me the pointless excuses. I don’t have the time or patience for this.”
“You’re not here for revenge?” Aruna feigned ignorance, trying to stall.
“Then what do you want? We’ve only crossed paths that one time!”
“Still playing dumb, are we?” Suzy’s lips curled into a smirk, her eyes cold.
“Fine. If you love putting on a show, I’ll give you an audience. I’m sure your husband and son would love to watch you act.”
She grabbed Aruna’s arm and began dragging her toward the door.
Realizing Suzy’s intentions, Aruna panicked.
“Miss Suzy, whatever you’re unhappy about, take it out on me. Leave my husband and son out of this–they don’t know anything about what I’ve done!”
“Exactly because they don’t know, it’s about time they learned the truth,” Suzy said with a cold smile.
“Otherwise, they’d keep living in the fantasy that their wife and mother is the best person in the world.

“But what if they found out it’s all a lie?” Suzy leaned in closer, her voice cutting like ice.
“What do you think their reaction would be? Anger? Disappointment? Heartbreak?”
She paused, letting the weight of her words sink in. “I’d love to see that with my own eyes.”
Aruna’s heart sank. She knew Suzy was someone who didn’t bluff–just like her master, she always followed through.
With no options left, Aruna broke.
She shouted desperately, “Fine! You’re right. I know you’re not here for revenge. You’re here to find Elliot!”
Her voice wavered, but her resolve didn’t falter. She couldn’t bear the thought of her husband and son looking at her with hatred.
For years, no matter what she had done outside, they had been her only source of strength and solace. She couldn’t let Suzy destroy that.
