Chapter 0672
In the dead of night, Suzy stealthily entered Aruna’s relative’s house. After ensuring Aruna was asleep, she pressed her sleeping pressure point before taking her pulse
The pulse was weak and erratic, a clear sign of severe illness.
So, had Aruna really been at the hospital purely for medical treatment?
“No,” Suzy thought.
Certain drugs could mimic the symptoms of severe illness, creating the illusion of an unstable pulse.
To confirm her suspicions, Suzy drew a vial of Aruna’s blood and took it back to her lab for testing.
The initial results showed that Aruna was indeed sick.
Could her appearance at the hospital really have been a coincidence?
Unwilling to accept that, Suzy performed a more specialized analysis of the blood sample.
When the final results came in, Suzy smirked. “I knew it. There’s no way she’s innocent.”
Aruna wasn’t sick at all.
“Aruna,” Suzy murmured to herself, her gaze cold.
“Let’s see who’s really pulling your strings.”

Meanwhile, across town, Aruna woke with a start.
Despite being under the influence of the sleeping pressure point, she had set a trap before going to bed–a light sprinkling of powder around her bed to detect any intruders
Now, clear footprints marked the area.
Someone had been in her room.
It didn’t take her long to guess who it was.
There was only one person it could be: Suzy
She had experienced Suzy’s skills firsthand before, and now she wasted no time calling her master.
“I think I’ve been exposed,” Aruna admitted as soon as the line connected.
On the other end, the person’s voice remained calm, even amused. “If you hadn’t been exposed, you wouldn’t be dealing with Suzy.”
There was an unmistakable admiration in their tone, with no hint of hostility toward Suzy.
This left Aruna puzzled. If there was no animosity, then why did they keep targeting her?

Ever since Suzy had reunited with Elliot, this person had been orchestrating one obstacle after another for her.
It seemed contradictory, almost as if the person admired Suzy but couldn’t resist testing her at every turn.
Despite her curiosity, Aruna didn’t dare ask questions. She was nothing more than a pawn, and her master’s affairs were far beyond her pay grade.

“What should I do next?” she asked, awaiting her next instructions.
The voice on the other end replied coldly, “Die.”
“Master…” Aruna’s voice trembled in disbelief. “You must be joking.‘
“I don’t joke,” the voice responded, calm and resolute.
“You’ve been exposed, which means you’re no longer useful. If you don’t die, Suzy will use you to trace back to me. Why should I let that happen?”
Aruna knew her master’s words were final.
After a long silence, she clenched her fists and made one last plea. “I’m willing to die for you, but only if you fulfill your promise.”
“I said I’d save your husband, and I will,” the voice assured her.
“Your son will also be taken care of. He’ll live a life free of worry. You have my word.”
Aruna took a deep breath, gripping the phone tightly. “Thank you, Master.”
After hanging up, Aruna found herself reflecting on her life.
She was actually Elliot’s aunt, but three years ago, someone came to her with a threat she couldn’t refuse.
Using drugs, they controlled her husband and son, forcing her to poison Elliot.
From that point on, she was coerced into doing things she would never have agreed to, including changing her identity and working as a henchman in the lawless zone under Elliot’s command.
Death, in a way, seemed like the best outcome. If Elliot ever discovered the truth, she wouldn’t be able to face him.
“Alex, I’m so sorry,” Aruna whispered, tears streaming down her face.
With those words, she raised a sharp blade, preparing to drive it into her heart.
But before she could act, the door was kicked open with a loud crash.
Standing in the doorway was none other than Suzy.
